Q. How many Halloween Films are there?
10 - Including H2 - A Rob Zombie Film which will be
released August 28th, 2009 in theaters nationwide.
Q. Since Halloween III doesn't have Michael Myers in it, why is it called Halloween III?
After blowing up Michael Myers at the end of Halloween II, the storyline
(at that time) had officially ended. Carpenter and Hill wanted to release
new films with new stories that centered around the Holiday of Halloween. Hence Halloween III The Season of the Witch.
Fans of Halloween were confused by the title and lack of
reference to the previous films and as a result the box office
suffered and this idea was dropped. Several years later the idea
was brought up to bring Myers back and in 1988 Halloween 4: The
Return of Michael Myers officially resurrected his character.
Q. Why was Halloween(s) 4-6 disregarded with the release of Halloween H20?
With series veteran Jamie Lee Curtis coming back to reprise her
role of Laurie Strode, it became clear that a new approach to
the storyline needed to be in place for this film to work.
Unfortunately that meant having to abandon a continuity
that was established in the previous 3 films.
Q. Will there ever be a sequel to Halloween Resurrection?
At this time there are no plans for a sequel to this film. Any new film(s) will revolve around
the new Halloween film released in 2007.

actors/people who have played the character of Michael Myers.

Q. In Halloween 5 who was the Man in Black?
According to director (Dominique Othenin-Girard) The Man in Black was not revealed
or explained because at the time of filming no one knew where
they were going to go with this mystery character. Donald Shanks
(who played Michael Myers in the film) also
doubled as the Man in Black and admits to not knowing what was
going on with this character as well. One theory was that
the Man in Black was a relative of Myers, but ultimately nothing come of it until the next film.
In
Halloween The Curse of Michael Myers the Man in Black is
revealed to be Dr. Wynn, a long time associate of Sam Loomis at Smith's Grove Sanitarium.
Q. When is the original Halloween II and III going be released on Blu-Ray?
Universal Studios still owns the rights to distribute both of these films and it is up to them to release
them in Blu-Ray format.
Q. Will the Halloween 6 Producer's Cut ever
be released on DVD?
Directly from
Malek Akkad: "I know it’s been talked about, but ultimately it is Disney’s call, as they own the rights to Halloween 6-8. I think from a financial stand point, (which would be their concern) because the film has been so widely seen on the internet, it might not make sense".
Q. Will there ever be a Michael vs. Jason
vs. Freddy type of film made?
Directly from Malek Akkad: " No, I think that Michael Myers is
in a league of his own. Not to take away from the other
characters, but I think any pairing would water-down the essence
of Halloween. I would rather stop the films than do a team-up."
Q. I saw a different version of a Halloween film on TV and wanted to know where I can get that version?
At this time, there are only 3 versions of the Halloween Films that contain "alternate" of "deleted" scenes; Halloween Extended - Available
as part of the 30th Anniversary Box set, Halloween Resurrection DVD - contains many deleted/alternate scenes and Rob Zombie's Halloween Directors Cut - contains many deleted scenes and
alternate ending.
From time to time, Halloween II (1981) and Halloween the Curse
of Michael Myers, can be seen on television with
alternate/deleted scenes added. This was done to increase the
film(s) running time to make up for violent/gore that was
removed for a national broadcast.
