Anchor Bay has revealed early details on Halloween: The 30th Anniversary Commemorative Set. The 6-disc package will include the original 1978 film, the extended edition of HALLOWEEN which has been out of print for several years, HALLOWEEN 4: The Return of Michael Myers, HALLOWEEN 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers, a HALLOWEEN 25 YEARS OF TERROR 84-minute documentary with cast and crew, and a bonus Blu-ray release of HALLOWEEN. If that isn't enough, the collectible set will include a replica of the Michael Myers mask! Retail will be $89.97, and the release date is coming soon!

A HALLOWEEN fan named Kenny Caperton has just purchased land in North Carolina to build a "certain Haddonfield house"... yep, the house Kenny is building will be none other than an exact replica of the Myers house from the original HALLOWEEN! IN HEAT, a new comedy in four one-acts, takes snap shots of four couples over the course of one hot summer evening in Los Angeles. By the end of the fourth act, the lives of all the characters intersect on Sunset Blvd. in an absurd, hilarious grand finale.

Many of you know of Kelly Reno from the trilogy of HALLOWEEN-themed young adult novels she wrote under the name of "Kelly O'Rourke" in late 90's (you can read our 2006 interview with Kelly here). Written By Stefan Hutchinson (25 YEARS OF TERROR director) and illustrated by Tim Seeley (HACK SLASH creator),'Halloween: Nightdance' will be a 4-Issue Monthly Limited Series. Each issue of this series will feature, amongst its variants, an alternate comic book by a "Master Of Comic Book Horror." The "Masters Of Comic Book Horror" cover for Issue 1 is painted by the legendary Bill Sienkiewicz (Stray Toasters, Elektra, 30 Days of Night). The series will be supplemented by a dedicated website (www.halloweencomics.com) opening later in 2008. Issue 1 is available in February, but you can pre-order here!

Collectors will tell you that the Czechoslovakian movie poster for the original HALLOWEEN is probably one of the rarest items around for this film. If you have filmed your own movie that features a Michael Myers storyline, and you would like to show a clip of it on HalloweenMovies.com, please send us email at fanmovie@halloweenmovies.com. In your email please include a LINK for us to click on that will take us to your movie so that we can get a preview (this means that a clip of your movie must be uploaded onto a server first). After we check out your movie, we'll contact you with more info on how to claim your spot on HM.com!

We have received thousands of inquiries over the years asking where to obtain the sheet music for the original "Halloween" theme and "Laurie's Theme", both composed by John Carpenter. We are happy to announce that a company called MusicNotes now offers these items, and you can print the sheet music right from the company's website (the site even has a "player" that will let you preview the notes of any sheet music they sell). Click on this link and type "HALLOWEEN" in the search box to find the music! (Note: "Laurie's Theme" is called "Halloween 1978" in the company's catalog listing).

Photographer Kim Gottlieb-Walker has 40 original photos - all taken personally by her - framed and on display at Caffé Latte in Los Angeles (6254 Wilshire Boulevard; in the little corner plaza at Wilshire and Crescent Heights). The display is called "Behind the Curtain with John Carpenter" and it features ultra-rare promotional stills from HALLOWEEN, HALLOWEEN II, CHRISTINE, and ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK! We deeply regret announcing the news that Joe Wolf - producer of the original HALLOWEEN - passed away on September 23rd, 2005, at 2:30pm. Joe was a pioneer in the horror genre, not only for his involvement with HALLOWEEN, but also for other groundbreaking films such as A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET and the current slasher movie, HELLBENT. Joe's last public appearance was at the Halloween Returns To Haddonfield convention held in Pasadena in 2003, where fans greeted him with tremendous applause as he made his way onto the stage to talk about his HALLOWEEN adventures, and to answer questions from the audience. Joe was a dear friend to many, and will be greatly missed.
